The purchase of a wheelchair van is a significant investment, and if there’s ever a breakdown or repair, you need the assurance that you’ll be back on the road as soon as possible – without taking a significant hit to your checkbook too. That’s why we offer BraunAbility Protection Plus, an exclusive vehicle service contract, to protect your investment.

What is a Vehicle Service Contract?

A vehicle service contract enhances the coverage of the warranty of your vehicle – both the original vehicle and the mobility equipment, and includes everything from major powertrain components to advanced technology systems. The extra coverage, purchased at the time of sale, helps ensure there’s no lapse in coverage once the original warranty ends.  Multiple plans and coverage terms are available, including monthly payments at 0% interest, so you can pick the option that fits both your budget and your lifestyle,

Owners can also purchase a VSC on wheelchair accessible vehicles that are up to 20 years old and up to 190,000 miles, even if the vehicle is out of warranty. Your participating BraunAbility dealer will inspect your preowned wheelchair van to ensure it meets program qualifications. Currently, we do not offer VSCs in Canada.

Can I transfer the Protection Plus plan if I sell my BraunAbility vehicle?

Yes, in most cases, Protection Plus plans are transferable to another consumer. This means that if you decide to sell your BraunAbility vehicle during the coverage period, the new owner can enjoy the remaining benefits of the Protection Plus plan. 

Are there any deductibles for covered repairs?

Yes, our plans are all sold with a $100 deductible per occurrence. 

Where can I get my vehicle and mobility modifications serviced under the Protection Plus plan?

You can have your vehicle services nationwide at any service facility with an ASE certified mechanic on staff, however mobility service and repairs will need to be at an authorized BraunAbility dealership

Is routine maintenance covered under the Protection Plus plan?

Routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and regular inspections, is typically not covered under the Protection Plus plan. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule to ensure the longevity of your vehicle and modifications.  Some of our authorized BraunAbility dealers offer a Prepaid Maintenance Plan, which would cover the routine maintenance of both the chassis and conversion. 

Can I cancel my Protection Plus plan and get a refund?

Yes, you may be eligible for a refund if you cancel your Protection Plus plan within a certain period after purchase. The specific terms for cancellations and refunds will be outlined in the plan documentation. 

How do I purchase a Protection Plus plan for my BraunAbility vehicle and mobility modifications?

You can purchase a Protection Plus plan at the time of vehicle purchase or shortly afterward through an authorized BraunAbility dealer. The dealer will guide you through the available plan options and help you choose the best coverage for your needs.  There is an option to purchase at a later time, however you may be required to undergo a certified vehicle inspection to qualify, this can be discussed at your authorized BraunAbility dealer

Are Protection Plus plans available in all locations?

Protection Plus plans are available in many locations; however, availability may vary depending on your region. It's recommended to inquire with your local BraunAbility dealer about plan availability in your area. You can also purchase online.

What is the Protection Plus plan offered by BraunAbility?

The Protection Plus plan is a vehicle service contract designed to provide complete (Exclusionary) coverage for BraunAbility vehicles, including mobility modifications. It offers additional protection beyond the standard warranty, ensuring peace of mind for the entire duration of coverage. 

What does the Protection Plus plan cover?

The Protection Plus plan covers a wide range of vehicle components and mobility modifications, including the engine, transmission, electrical systems, wheelchair ramps, lifts, hand controls, and other adaptive driving aids manufactured by BraunAbility and/or installed by a BraunAbility dealer. 

Do Protection Plus plans cover pre-owned vehicles and mobility modifications?

Yes, Protection Plus plans can cover both new and pre-owned BraunAbility vehicles. For used vehicles, the plan's coverage will depend on the age and condition of the vehicle at the time of enrollment. 

How long does the Protection Plus coverage last?
