3/15/19 - BraunAbility Joins Major Global Brands in the Fight for Disability Inclusion As Part of The Valuable 500
BraunAbility joins The Valuable 500, an initiative founded by Caroline Casey, a disability advocate who is legally blind, which aims to have 500 companies commit to improving disability inclusion by putting the topic on business leadership agendas.
2/13/19 - BraunAbility Announces New Global Headquarters Location
Carmel, Indiana will be the home of a new technology center and global headquarters of BraunAbility, while the company’s manufacturing operations remain based in Ralph Braun’s hometown of Winamac, Indiana.
1/7/19 - BraunAbility Launches The Turny Evo Rotating Seat
BraunAbility expands its product offering to now include an additional mobility transportation solution, the BraunAbility Turny Evo seat.

4/3/18 – BraunAbility Acquires European Mobility Manufacturer Autoadapt AB
The acquisition solidifies the BraunAbility presence in Europe and includes two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Unwin, based in the United Kingdom, and Martech, based in Denmark.
11/27/17 – Staci Kroon Welcomed as New BraunAbility CEO
Staci Kroon, former Executive Vice President of Eaton Business Systems, takes over as BraunAbility CEO today. Former CEO Nick Gutwein will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

5/9/16 – BraunAbility MXV Received Perfect Score from Ford Motor Company
Ford’s Qualified Vehicle Modifier program evaluated the BraunAbility for safety, quality control, customer support and a commitment to continuous improvement and gave the MXV a perfect score.
3/2/16 – Forbes: “Finally a Wheelchair-Accessible SUV from Ford and BraunAbility"
Forbes.com covered the BraunAbility MXV, and confirms that “cool wheels are making a comeback in the form of the BraunAbility MXV.”
2/27/16 – Consumer Reports Applauds BraunAbility MXV
The BraunAbility MXV caught the attention of Consumer Reports following the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, and after some in-depth research on the vehicle’s innovative technology and sporty design, dubbed the BraunAbility MXV as the “coolest wheelchair-accessible ride.”
2/11/16 – BraunAbility and Ford Showcase MXV at Chicago Auto Show
Ford Motor Company invited BraunAbility to showcase the MXV, built on the Ford Explorer, during the 2016 Chicago Auto Show. According to Ford, “Explorer has always been associated with helping people go places they otherwise could not, and BraunAbility MXV furthers that reputation.”
1/27/16 – BraunAbility Launches Campaign on Handicap Parking
BraunAbility launched the Save My Spot parking campaign to help educate the public about the importance of respecting accessible parking spaces. The effort includes a shareable Public Service Announcement and the opportunity to sign up for a free parking kit.
11/23/15 – BraunAbility Joins Partners to Donate Wheelchair Van to Kentucky Student
BraunAbility, Ally and Superior Van and Mobility joined up for an unforgettable van donation at a Kentucky elementary school just before Thanksgiving.

Patricia Industries (“Patricia”), a division of Investor AB (“Investor”) focused on private companies, has signed an agreement to acquire BraunAbility, the industry leader in wheelchair accessible vehicles and wheelchair lifts.

9/5/14 – BraunAbility Products to be Included in VA’s FSS
The BraunAbility lineup of wheelchair-accessible vehicles is now included in the Veterans Affairs Federal Supply Schedule (FSS).
