Manufacturer Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Discounts

Each of our original vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) – Chrysler, Ford, Honda, and Toyota – offer automotive mobility discounts in the form of a $1000 reimbursement on the purchase of the chassis.

  • Chrysler – This $1,000 discount applies to Chryslers full inventory, purchase or lease, on new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or FIAT vehicles. Note, however, that BraunAbility only provides accessible vehicle designs on the Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Grand Caravan.
  • Ford – The $1,000 Ford Mobility Motoring reimbursement is available for all new Ford cars, vans, CUVs, SUVs and trucks sold or leased during the program period. New vehicles acquired through the U.S. Ford Authorized Pool Converter are also eligible. However, please note that BraunAbility only provides an accessible vehicle design on the accessible Ford Explorer (also known as a BraunAbility MXV).
  • Honda – Honda will provide a $1,000 reimbursement to the original vehicle owner on the purchase or lease of a new Honda vehicle from an authorized dealership. Please note that BraunAbility only provides an accessible vehicle design on an accessible Honda Odyssey.
  • Toyota – The Toyota Mobility Assistance Program provides a cash reimbursement up to $1,000 for any aftermarket adaptive equipment or conversion when installed on any eligible purchased or leased new Toyota vehicle. Please note that BraunAbility only provides an accessible vehicle design for a Toyota Sienna.

During what we call the conversion process, BraunAbility takes the OEM chassis and removes and replaces many components including the floor, wiring, and other electrical and manufacturing components. Each OEM has made a commitment to accessible vehicles in the form of first partnering with companies like BraunAbility to handle the modifications, but also in providing these wheelchair vehicle discounts to you, the customer, to help with vehicle financing or other aftermarket mobility equipment such as hand controls.

To take advantage of wheelchair vehicle discounts, be sure to mention it during your consultation with your local BraunAbility mobility consultant at the dealership. This automotive mobility reimbursement can be used in conjunction with other grants and funds. Look for grants by state, nationwide funding resources, grants for nonprofits, or funding for veterans.
