The BraunAbility RA400 Wheelchair Ramp1 is a hydraulically operated bi-fold ramp for use in a low floor transit bus application. It's a totally self-contained electric unit, designed to drop into the application. The RA400 low floor ramp system is offered in a single model with either a 12v or 24v pump module and a 32.5 by 42.3" package.
The RA400 requires no pre-assembly of any kind, and it also features a simple manual override operation. The hydraulic up and gravity drift down motions ensure smooth and quiet operation.
The RA400 is specifically designed to be operated by an attendant. The RA400 provides fully automatic operation of ramp functions. The electric/hydraulic system is controlled by two relays, which activate the hydraulic pump in opposite directions for deploy and stow functions (powering dual-acting hydraulic cylinders). No sensitive electronic controls or sensors are required for operation.
