A WAV is a wheelchair accessible vehicle. These vehicles are designed for those with mobility disabilities , who may have limited ability to safely enter and exit a traditional vehicle. WAVs are designed with multiple ramp and entry options to best accommodate people with disabilities and their caregivers.  A WAV is sometimes called a handicapped van or wheelchair van, but we prefer wheelchair accessible vehicle.

We have hundreds of WAVs available, including vehicles with manual ramps and power ramps. We also have WAVs with rear- entry and side- entry options. You can search through our inventory by make, model, entry style, price point, and more to find the WAV that’s right for you. You can also meet with one of our mobility specialists, who will work with you one- on- one to help you find a wheelchair accessible van that suits your needs.

Our WAVs have two entry options: side-entry, and rear-entry.

Side-entry options are ideal for wheelchair users who will drive, or ride in the front passenger seat.

Our rear-entry vehicles are ideal for those who will not ride in the front seats, or those who have larger wheelchairs.

To get more information on our vehicle entry options, visit our homepage.

WAVs typically come in two ramp styles: manual, and power. For those who are physically capable of deploying a ramp on their own, or those who travel with a companion, a manual ramp may be best. For those who cannot deploy a manual ramp, or do not travel with a companion, a power ramp may be ideal.

The process to build a wheelchair accessible vehicle is complex. For an access ramp to be added to a handicap van, the entire structure of the vehicle must be modified. These extensive modifications ensure the safety of all people traveling in the accessible vehicle. For those looking for cost-effective options, consider different entry styles and ramp types so you can get the accessible vehicle that fits your needs, and your budget.

We’ve got multiple financing options and protection plans. See our financing page to get more information on loan qualification and protection plans for your WAV.
