The Northstar in-floor ramp is the flagship product for VMI and has been for decades. Their innovative track systems under the ramp is a simple and reliable design. The in-floor ramp slides from the floor of the wheelchair vehicle and is sturdy enough to accommodate large power wheelchairs. Both front seats are removeable to allow for multiple seating options for the wheelchair user.
The “E” in the Northstar E from VMI means economical and easy to use. Want the style and functionality of an in-floor ramp but don’t need the powered features; this is the wheelchair van for you. The ramp can be deployed and stowed easily with a wand that is secured to the ramp. The in-floor ramp leaves more room inside the van and offers a quiet ride.
The Summit fold-out ramp from VMI is fully powered and can be used with the OEM keyfob or with dashes inside the wheelchair van. Rest assured the ramp that is folded inside the door does not block the door handle in the event the door needs to be opened from inside the van. The Summit ramp comes standard with 2″ side rails for peace of mind going up and down the ramp.
