Ryan is a Mobility Specialist at United Access in Lenexa, KS. He helps individuals with physical disabilities find the best equipment for driving independence. With a background in advocating for veterans with disabilities, Ryan understands firsthand the challenges of living with quadriplegia after a spinal cord injury in 1996. His career is dedicated to assisting others in similar situations to live as independently as possible.  

Adam Lane

Mobility Specialist
United Access Oklahoma City

 

Adam Lane, a Mobility Specialist at United Access in Oklahoma City, transitioned from a career as a Paramedic following a 2007 motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the belly button down. He is involved in disability advocacy at various levels of government and works closely with customers to find the best mobility solutions at United Access. In his free time, Adam enjoys yoga, weightlifting, walking his service dog, and hand cycling, as well as trying new restaurants and watching movies. 

Stephen Kinstler

Mobility Specialist
United Access Kansas City

 

Stephen Kinstler has used adaptive equipment for over thirty years, graduating from Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation to attend graduate school and find full-time employment. He has been with United Access for nineteen years, helping individuals with their mobility needs. Stephen has served on various boards and committees, including the Disabled Athlete Sports Association and the MS Society Advisory Committee. He co-founded the St. Louis Sled Hockey team and chaired a Spinal Cord Injury Support Group for fifteen years.

Ashton Kenerly

Mobility Specialist
United Access Houston

 

At 19, a motorcycle accident left Ashton Kenerly with a T9 level spinal cord injury and paraplegia, but he refused to let it define him. Passionate about helping others in the mobility industry, he joined United Access as a Mobility Specialist in 2020. Despite his injuries, Ashton adapts and pursues his interests which includes just about anything that includes being outside and enjoying nature. His journey has taught him resilience, determination, and the importance of a positive mindset.

Sonny Mullen joined Help Hope Live in 2016, first in the Finance Department, and now serves as the Director of Outreach, helping to bring Help Hope Live’s mission to a wider audience. With a personal connection to the mission, Sonny is happy to use her experiences to connect and speak with individuals in the disability community to help them safely fundraise for their medical and related expenses.

Gerhart Schmidt

Executive Director
Bridge to Mobility

 

Gerhard Schmidt is the Executive Director of the Bridge to Mobility.  Gerhard has over 20 years of experience in the industry through his experience at Bridge to Mobility, Chief Financial Officer of a major retailer and re-manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles, and chair of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association Finance Committee.
