What Wheelchair Van Financing is Available?

At United Access, we understand that financing a wheelchair vehicle can be a major financial commitment. That's why we've partnered with BraunAbility Finance, the industry’s first dedicated financing provider, to make sure our customers have access to great rates and shorter terms.

Whether it's income tax credits, state-funded assistance, manufacturer rebate or incentive programs, other disabled veteran programs, or Vocational Rehabilitation or Workman’s Compensation policies, United Access is committed to helping in every way possible to make sure you can make this significant investment. What's more, if your chosen wheelchair vehicle qualifies for a doctor’s prescription exempt from sales tax, we will make sure you don’t miss out on those offers. United Access can also work with you to find grant and funding solutions. We're here to make sure you get the most out of your new wheelchair vehicle.

Another wheelchair van financing solution is to trade in your current vehicle. This includes a converted or non-converted vehicle and is a no-obligation appraisal process. Reach out to a mobility specialist to learn more.

Financing is not only available for wheelchair accessible vans, but for adaptive equipment as well. You can apply for financing options on mobility equipment including scooters, lifts, driving aids, and mobility seating. Our mobility team will work to help find the best financing option for you.

What Financing is Available for Veterans?

At United Access, we are proud to help support our veterans. We strive to provide our veteran and service members access to the programs and grants they have rightfully earned. Our team is dedicated to helping veterans and service members find the right wheelchair van to best meet their mobility needs. We understand that the process can be complex, and we are here to make it a little bit easier.

United Access works with local VAs to help Veterans complete the automotive grant paperwork and to provide information on the wheelchair accessible vehicles available. We are proud of the service we provide and will strive to find the best value for our veterans. We will also keep veterans informed of any new options that are available.

Will the VA Pay for a Handicap Van?

For disabled veterans with the appropriate eligibility requirements, the VA offers the unique opportunity to receive an automobile grant of $23,355.72 every two years to obtain a new wheelchair van. This grant is available to Veterans who are 100% Service Connected and can assist with potentially reducing out-of-pocket expenses for veterans.

To be eligible for this grant, veterans must meet one of the following stringent conditions: loss, or permanent loss of use of one or both feet; loss, or permanent loss of use of one or both hands; permanent impairment of vision in both eyes to a certain degree; severe burn injury; or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). If you believe you may qualify for the VA’s automobile grant, please reach out to your local United Access store to help assess your potential assistance level prior to speaking with your VA counselor or prosthetics doctor. These experts can then provide you with the necessary information and resources to maximize the benefits of this program and help ensure you acquire the new wheelchair van with the least amount of out-of-pocket expense.

United Access is committed to helping all individuals find the perfect mobility solution that meets their needs, budget and lifestyle. With an extensive array of new and used wheelchair accessible vehicles and adaptive equipment, along with financing options, you can trust us to help you find the best fit for your transportation needs.
