2010 Ability Summit Wrap-up

AbilityVoice: a blog about mobility topics

The inaugural Ability Summit dealer conference wrapped up earlier this week, and it lived up to the exciting and educational event we all expected! We were absolutely thrilled to have nearly all of our dealer network under one roof for this three-day event. Our goal was first and foremost to reenergize us all around our top priority: serving mutual customers better. It's difficult to capture the entire event in one blog, but here's a look at a few of the highlights: BraunAbility President Nick Gutwein took the time to talk about the state of the mobility industry and share research about where our customers' needs are being met and where we can do a better job of serving them. He touched on a topic that's very personal to him - safety - and reminded dealers how we go above and beyond to make sure our vehicles meet or exceed national standards. One of the many highlights from the event was a performance by singer-songwriter Justin Hines who has built a notable music career and charitable reputation without being held back by the challenges of Larsen's Syndrome. The crowd was blown away by his voice and the music -- if you'd like to take a listen, you can catch a free download of one of his hit songs, "Wish You Well" on our homepage. One of the most energizing points of the Summit was the keynote address, given by former Director of Communication for Harley Davidson, Ken Schmidt. He helped build Harley Davidson into an internationally recognized brand with phenomenal customer loyalty, and he spoke about how BraunAbility could do the same. The Ability Summit 2010 helped us all remember just that. Thank you to all of the presenters and attendees for making this such a valuable and fun event for us all. We'll post some highlight pics and video in the days to come!
