Used vs New Wheelchair Van

Options for Wheelchair Vehicles – New vs Used

There are many options when shopping for wheelchair-accessible vehicles; side-entry, rear-entry, power, manual, etc. But something a little less familiar is something we called New, Used, New-Used, Used-Used…what does that mean?

New-New Wheelchair Van Vehicle and Conversion

This is the terminology we used for a brand new vehicle and a brand new conversion. These are the most expensive types of accessible vehicles. There are typically less than 250 miles on the vehicle and has a full 3 year, 36,000-mile warranty on the van and the ramp system.

Used-New Vehicle and Wheelchair Ramp Conversion

This is a great option to save a little bit of money on a wheelchair van. The van itself, the Honda Odyssey, Dodge Grand Caravan, etc. is used; typically with less than 50,000 miles. The conversion manufacturers, VMI and BraunAbility, then put a new wheelchair conversion on those used vans. Used-New vehicles allows customers to save up to $10,000!

Certified Pre-Owned Handicap Van

BraunAbility launched its CPO program in 2014. Today, there are thousands of Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles on the road. Each BraunAbility CPO unit undergoes our rigorous 416-point vehicle inspection, meaning you get the confidence and 3-year/36K warranty benefits of a brand new mobility vehicle with the cost-saving value of a pre-owned vehicle. Each vehicle is subject to rigorous rules that guarantee the quality represented by the Certified Pre-Owned name.

Used-Used Wheelchair Van

Used-Used is a used van and a used conversion that United Access has bought back from a customer.  Some customers, like veterans, trade-in their vehicles regularly so we have many affordable options for customers on used-used wheelchair vans.  Some of these used vans start as low as $15,000!  We take in used vehicles daily so our inventory is always changing – check out the website often to see the latest vans we have for sale.
